“On a personal level, I am very hurt. I can understand how every volunteer who has made sacrifices for this (Aam Aadmi Party) movement must be feeling. Some have left their jobs, some people’s shops were shut because of this movement....Sandeep has betrayed the entire movement by engaging in such act ,” said Kejriwal.

Kumar was removed as Delhi’s women and child welfare minister on Wednesday over a video purportedly showing the 35-year-old in a compromising position with two women.

Reports said the nine-minute-long video showed Kumar, the legislator for Sultanpur Majra, with a woman. There was another clip with a separate woman.

Kejriwal announced Kumar’s sacking on Twitter after a top-level meeting of his party. Kumar, however, insisted that he had resigned on moral grounds.

“It is painful that there is a rotten fish among us. But it is our duty to remove it with immediate effect and this is what I am proud of,” he said. He promised that even if he is involved in any objectionable act action will be taken against him.

“We were given the CD at 8 pm and we removed him (Kumar) from the cabinet at 8:30pm. AAP will not compromise. We will close the party, die, but not compromise on anything,” he said.

Talking about the ministers who have been sacked by the party earlier, Kejriwal said this is what differentiates AAP from other parties. He attacked the Congress, BJP and the Akali Dal, and accused them of shielding leaders involved in wrongdoings.

“We have taken action against four people. I was hurt that such people are among us, but I am happy that unlike other parties we did not try to hide the matter. We do not justify their acts and try to shield them. In all our capacity we try to take action,” he said.
