Reacting to Supreme Court's order that gave respite to Lalu Prasad Yadav in the disproportionate assets case, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister today trained guns on the Congress for the apex court's decision.

He said that Sonia Gandhi bailed out Lalu because he was a part of the UPA government till last month.
Congress and Lalu have both manipulated CBI and IT officials, he claimed, adding that the CBI helped Lalu by not challenging the case.
Modi also said that Lalu should not be happy with Supreme Court's decision for the Bihar government will continue taking legal steps against Lalu.
Earlier today, the Supreme Court today held that the Bihar Government did not have the authority to file an appeal in the Patna High Court against the acquittal of RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his wife in the disproportionate assets case which was prosecuted by the CBI.
"Bihar Government is not a competent authority to file an appeal in the case," a bench comprising Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan and Justices RM Lodha and BS Chauhan said.
The verdict was passed by allowing the appeal filed by Lalu Prasad and his wife and also by the CBI challenging the decision of the Patna High Court admitting the appeal filed by the Bihar Government against their acquittal by a special CBI court.
