After reading the Hindustan Times report of accident victim who was the sole bread earner of the family, lawyer IU Khan has decided to adopt the family.

Rahul Mehra (30) was killed on Thursday night after his bike was hit by an over speeding Mercedes car in Mehrauli area of south Delhi. Rahul was taking care of his family of four — two daughters, wife and mother.

“It was a tragic incident and I have extended my support to the family. I will give the family the amount that the victim was getting as salary,” said Khan.

Khan was the prosecutor in the famous BMW hit-and-run case but was removed after a sting operation showed him trying to influence a witness. According to police the car hit the bike from the side and the driver fled from the spot after the accident.
