CPI(M) on Tuesday said the Left parties will decide their future course of strategy in their July four meeting on the Indo-US nuclear deal.

Party General Secretary Prakash Karat said this to reporters when he was asked what the Left parties planned to do against the backdrop of reports that SP was moving close to Congress and may support the deal.
He said it was unfortunate that government has not not kept its word given in the November 16 meeting of the UPA-Left committee that it would operationalise the deal taking into account the concerns of the committee.
In a veiled attack on Sonia Gandhi, Karat said the Congress leadership "as a whole" was responsible for the present impasse.
Asked if his party was ready for elections, he said let the people decide whether the nation needs the nuclear deal.
