The maximum temperature today was recorded at 41 degree Celsius, two degrees above normal, while the minimum was at 27.1 degrees, three degrees above normal, the Met office said.

On Sunday , the maximum was recorded at 39.4 degrees while the minimum was recorded at 26.3 degrees, two notches above normal.

The Weathermen predicted partly cloudy sky with possibility of duststorm/thunderstorm, accompanied with squall in some parts of the national capital.

They said that the minimum and maximum temperature in the next 24 hours will settle at 26 degrees and 39 degree Celsius respectively.

Friday witnessed the season's highest of 44.2 degrees.

The maximum temperature was keeping an upward trend in the past few days forcing a majority of the Delhiites to remain indoors and use protective cover to escape from the scorching sun.
