For all those who think mangoes are the best thing about the summer season, they have a chance to enjoy hundreds of varieties of the succulent fruit at the 24th Mango Festival, which will begin from Friday.
Close to 500 varieties of mangoes will be on display at the festival to be held at Dilli Haat, Pitampura.

Visitors will also get to participate in an array of activities such as mango eating competitions.
“The festival essentially aims at providing exposure to the domestic mango industry. It provides agro industries and food processing industries the opportunity to display their product. This year will see tremendous participation from traditional mango growers, who have attained expertise over the years,” said a Delhi Tourism official.
Other than the regular varieties of mangoes such as Daseri and Langra, several other varieties such as Jahangir, Neeleshwari, Kensington, Mallika and Neelam will be showcased at the festival.
