The Delhi Police have arrested a rickshaw puller who had stolen a consignment of denims worth Rs. 3.5 lakh and was caught while he was trying to sell them in Central Delhi's Paharganj.

According to police, Amir (22) has been arrested and 655 denim garments have been recovered from his possession.
"We arrested Amir after receiving a tip off that a person who has committed theft of garments would be coming to Paharganj market to sell those items," said Devesh Srivastava, additional CP (Central).
Police have also recovered 15 denims from him when he was arrested. “On August 3, he loaded his rickshaw with denims from a godown in Gandhi Nagar and did not deliver it. A case had already been registered in this regard," Srivastava said.
He got married four months ago and to fulfil his family needs, he wanted to earn more money.
