His adulterous lifestyle was breaking up the family — one daughter was facing a divorce, another was unmarried at 35, and he was allegedly planning to permanently dump his wife.

It was then the family thought they had enough and decided to bump him off.

Ali’s son Rafsan Khan (27) and brother-in-law Khushnood Khan (38) hired two contract killers and brutally stabbed him to death on April 7 night at his apartment in Jawahar Park area of Sahibabad, police said.

The police were groping around in the dark when a minor — whose identity the police wants to be kept a secret — unearthed the plot and led them to the culprits.

The four were arrested on Wednesday and booked under sections 302 (murder), 120b (criminal conspiracy), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and 25/4 Arms Act.

Ali's family has a smelting unit. He also ran a property dealing business and splurged money on women, police said.
Police recovered the murder weapon from the factory unit in Sahibabad.

"He paid no attention towards the family and beat my mother. Due to his recklessness, my elder sister faced a divorce and another sister was waiting to be married. Still, he indulged in illegal relationships and even severed relations with my mother around 15 years back to enjoy his life with other women," Rafsan Khan said.

Ali's brother-in-law was also infuriated after he heard that Ali was planning to permanently dump his wife. On April 7 night, the accused reached Ali's house and brutally stabbed him several times, police officials said.
