Stepping up its demolition drive against unauthorised constructions, the MCD on Wednesday targeted 11 properties in various areas of the national capital.
The drive was carried out in Pul Pehladpur, Lajpat Nagar, Govindpuri, Tuglakabad Extension and Bhogal.
"These unauthorised constructions were reportedly being carried out by builders. After demolition, all these unauthorised constructions have been left in uninhabitable condition so that they are not put to any use," an official said.
The special demolition drive will continue further and be intensified, he said.
The Building Department of Central Zone took action against unauthorised constructions at six properties situated at Pul Pehladpur, East of Kailash, Lajpat Nagar-IV and Sangam Vihar yesterday.
