The cash strapped Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is looking to augment its revenue through outdoor advertisements, including boards put up on uni-poles.

The revenue from outdoor advertisement in the current fiscal is expected to exceed the target of Rs 60 crore while the same for the next fiscal is proposed at Rs 66 crore, a statement from the civic body said on Saturday.
One of the major ways of fully exploiting the revenue generation potential is through advertisements on uni-poles located in different zones, the MCD statement said adding, "The sites located at MCD parking lots too would be exploited."
The corporation has already initiated the process and inviting response for tenders for Sadar Pahar Ganj, City and Rohini zones and only on completion of the process in these three zones.
