Metro crosses population mark

Since its inception in December 2002, the Delhi Metro has carried more than 1.28 billion people —more than India's projected population of 1.20 billion in 2011 (as per a ‘Census of India and Preparation of the National Population Register' report). HT reports.

Since its inception in December 2002, the Delhi Metro has carried more than 1.28 billion people —more than India's projected population of 1.20 billion in 2011 (as per a ‘Census of India and Preparation of the National Population Register' report). More than a 100 DMRC trains make more than 2,000 trips daily on a 125-km Metro network carrying over 1.15 million commuters everyday.
