Minor held for assault, murder of boy

A 15-year-old boy was apprehended for allegedly sodomising and murdering a six-year-old boy in New Friends Colony in southeast Delhi on Sunday.

A 15-year-old boy was apprehended for allegedly sodomising and murdering a six-year-old boy in New Friends Colony in southeast Delhi on Sunday.

Police said he had lured the younger boy to a forest near the DND Flyway on the pretext of giving him blackberries. Police discovered the child's body on Sunday that had been mauled by animals.

The accused boy worked at a tea stall owned by the six-year-old's father. On Friday, he allegedly took the child to the forest and sexually abused him. When the boy said he would complain to his father, he strangulated him with a rag.

He then came back to the tea stall.
