The step has been necessitated as procurement cost of milk has increased substantially since December 2010 due to rise in input costs like cattle feed, fodder and transportation, a release from the organisation said.
With this hike, consumers will now have to pay Rs 35 per litre for full cream milk; Rs 27 per litre for toned milk (poly pack), Rs 26 per litre for toned bulk vended milk (token milk), Rs 24 per litre for double-toned milk and Rs 20 per litre for skimmed milk.
