On September 1, a security guard of Muthoot Finance opened fire at its employees before killing himself. While two people died on the spot, two others were admitted at AIIMS trauma centre.

“Nidhi and Anu were brought here with bullet injuries of which Anu’s condition was critical. After battling for life for nearly 10 days, she succumbed to her injuries,” said a doctor.

Anu’s sister, Beenu Gole - who is two months pregnant, was at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) praying for speeding recovery of her younger sister. “Anu was suffering with ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP) and her lungs gave up during treatment. We were hopeful of her recovery as she was young. She died around 2 pm on Monday,” said Dr MC Misra, chief of AIIMS trauma centre.

Anu was brought to Delhi from Kerala by Beenu, a year ago after Anu’s husband died of cancer. Beenu, who works with Escorts Hospital, was informed about the incident by a staff of Muthoot Finance.

While another victim, Krishna had come to Delhi from Kerala for a 15-day training program and September 1 was his last day at Delhi office.
