Northern Railway’s division railway manager Ashwani Lohani received the award from Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and actress Priyanka Chopra. The award was given for the station’s development in the areas of passenger amenities and efficiency of operations.

In recent times, the railway station has witnessed a sea change in passenger amenities and related infrastructure. Eliminating cross movements and introduction of pre-paid taxis/autos, a large waiting hall, a third foot overbridge and rebuilding all its platforms have been major improvements. HTC
