The chairperson will be chosen by a panel consisting of the Prime Minister, the leader of Opposition, and the Chief Justice of India, said media reports.

The lokpal, however cannot investigate suo moto on complaints and it can only superintend cases of corruption referred to it.

The CBI will report back on only those cases of corruption that have been referred to it by the lokpal.

The lokpal can be impeached if 100 MPs support the decision.

Team Anna has however, rejected the draft bill.

Senior advocate and Team Anna member, Prashant Bhushan said, "there is no point having a lokpal if it does not have administrative control."
