After a trader was shot at in Noida on Tuesday night, entrepreneurs in the city have planned a Noida bandh on Friday in view of rising crime against the business community.

"On Tuesday night, around 10.15pm, unknown assailants shot at trader Pramod Chouhan outside his house in Sector 23. He owns a handloom shop in Atta," said Anant Dev, superintendent of police.
"His family members say the assailants may be from kidnappers' gang," said Dev.
Atta Markets Trader Association representative CB Jha said, "Criminals are striking at their will though police claim to be on their toes."
Noida Entrepreneurs Association president Rakesh Katyal said, "If the situation does not improve, industrialists and traders will have no option but to move to other states."
Association of Greater Noida Industries general secretary PP Sharma also echoed similar views.
