Many markets are expected to remain closed and vehicular traffic, including public transport, likely to be affected on Monday, July 5 when the Opposition has announced an all-India bandh to protest price rise.
The opposition has called for the bandh to protest the “UPA government, which has imposed deadly price spiral” leading to increase in prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene, CNG and LPG.
BJP president Nitin Gadkari, NDA chairman Sharad Yadav, Akali Dal leader Sukh Dev Singh Dhindsa would participate in the dharna at Ghanta Ghar.
Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta said, “More than 80 per cent goods for Delhi come from outside. Due to increase in fuel prices , the cost of transportation of goods increases. And then prices of commodities are skyrocketing.”
