The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday announced Noida-based businessman, KP Singh, as its candidate from the Gautam Budh Nagar Lok Sabha seat.

The 50-year-old undergraduate runs an outsourcing firm in Noida since 2002. A Rajput by caste, Singh hails from Ginora village in Bulandshahr’s Khurja town, a part of the Gautam Budh Nagar constituency.
He claimed that he has worked with several RWAs in Delhi-NCR and his experience in social work will help him win.
“For all these years, people have suffered under the corruption-ridden Noida Authority. Both the BJP MLA and the BSP MP have remained mute spectators and done nothing,” said Singh.
However, some local AAP leaders have raised objections to his candidature and claimed that he has parachuted into the area. “He doesn’t even know where AAP office is located in Noida,” said an AAP leader.
“I know there is resentment among local party workers. But we will work together and ensure that Singh wins by maximum margin,” said Anup Khanna, an AAP spokesperson.
