Arbib arrived at the Village on Friday morning to meet the athletes and officials but was denied entry from Gate No 2 as his vehicle didn't have the necessary accreditation for entering the complex.

Arbib had to walk to the residential block of Australian athletes that too after being apparently frisked by the security staff.

"He was frisked but the security is so tight here that it cannot be helped," said an official.
