Students with disabilities may not have to study the foundation courses in Mathematics and Science, if recommendations by a Delhi University panel are implemented.

Students with disabilities may not have to study the foundation courses in Mathematics and Science, if recommendations by a Delhi University panel are implemented.The committee, which had assessed impact of the implementation of the four-year undergraduate programme, sent its recommendations to the university administration on

Tuesday.

The panel has asked the academic departments to provide the Equal Opportunity Cell with the relevant syllabi and visual tools to be used to teach the course so that the cell can convert them into disabled-friendly documents. If some students still have trouble dealing with the subject, they can be allowed to study courses in History of Science and Communication and Personality Development.
