Pawar slammed over sop for ICC

The BJP said on Friday that agriculture minister and ICC chairman Sharad Pawar should not have attended the cabinet meeting that approved a Rs 45-crore tax relief on the ICC’s earnings in the World Cup. HT reports.

The proposal that was cleared at a Thursday meeting attracted some criticism from within the cabinet.

Sports minister Ajay Maken and urban poverty alleviation minister Selja of the Congress voiced their objections to the decision.
