Investigations are on in a case of negligence against the police, where it is alleged that they sent a man who was alive for post-mortem, police said.

Investigations are on in a case of negligence against the police, where it is alleged that they sent a man who was alive for post-mortem, police said.

Rajiv (28), a resident of village Atora, lost consciousness after his motorbike hit a truck on his way from Mansuri to Sahibabad on Wednesday.

Considering him dead, the police sent Rajiv for post-mortem when he should have been sent to a hospital and also pocketed Rs 10,000 from him, allege the relatives of the victim.

The victim's uncle complained against the inspector who was on duty at the time of the incident yesterday. Police say a thorough probe will be done and action taken against those found guilty.
