Pranab’s class, PM Modi’s address to students on Teachers’ Day

The President will hold a special class of a group of 60 students from Class 11 and 12 and is likely to give them a lesson in Political Science at a government school on Friday. The Prime Minister will also address the students on Friday between 10am and 11:45am.

The directorate of education has asked all schools in Delhi to make adequate arrangements for students and teachers to view the programme live on DD News Channel.

The schools have also been directed to serve mid-day meal between 9:15am and 9:45am after which students will assemble to watch the address by the Prime Minister and later the President’s programme.

The President, who was a college teacher and a journalist before he joined politics in 1969, will hold a joint class for Class 11 and 12 students of Dr Rajendra Prasad Sarvodaya Vidyalaya located inside the President’s Estate.

“Sixty students from Class 11and 12 will attend the President’s class. The students were selected based on their overall performance in school. He is likely to teach the students Political Science and will also interact with them,” said Omlata Singh, principal of the school.

Meanwhile, HRD minister Smriti Irani on Thursday presented CBSE awards to 34 teachers ahead of the national Teacher’s Day celebrations on September 5.
