The sound of the jal tarang, the energy of wind, the colours of rainbow, and a whole lot more demonstrated the role played by science in everyday life and how students view it.

The occasion was a science fair organised by The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar, on Saturday, to mark Children’s Day.
AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi was the chief guest at the event, along with principal Manika Sharma and director, Shri Ram Schools, Mark Parkinson.
As many as 28 stalls were put up by the students as well as their parents, from Lower Kindergarten to Class 5, on the theme ‘Mad about Science’.
In his interaction with students, Gandhi answered queries during a Q&A session and shared his childhood memories.
“When I was young, I was scared of darkness. Then, my grandmother (Indira Gandhi) asked me to see what’s inside darkness and face it,” he said.
On being a part of the Indian Youth Congress, Gandhi said: “You know what I do? I pick up bright students like you when you grow up and turn them into politicians, so that they can steer the country the right way.”
