Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar is likely to be the new neighbour of Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi in the heart of Delhi's high-profile Tughlaq Lane.

Tendulkar, who took oath as Rajya Sabha MP on Monday, is likely to be allotted a bungalow opposite to 12, Tughlaq Lane, where Gandhi lives.
With an address that goes 5, Tughlaq Lane, his immediate neighbour would be corporate affairs minister M Veerappa Moily.
Government sources said the allotment, to be announced by the housing committee of Rajya Sabha, has been decided keeping in mind the security requirements and VIP status of the cricketer.
Tendulkar was nominated to Rajya Sabha by the President on April 27, along with actress Rekha and National Advisory Council member Anu Aga.
Tendulkar will move into a bungalow that has been so far occupied by Bharatiya
Janata Party leader and former sports minister Vikram Verma, whose tenure as MP ended on April 2.
"It might take some time to renovate the bungalow before it would be ready for Tendulkar to move in," said a government official.
