Rajnath Singh to lead BJP's anti-Shinde stir today

In an attempt to make home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde’s recent statement that the BJP and RSS were spreading ‘Hindu terrorism’ a major political issue, the BJP will organise nationwide protests today. HT reports.

In an attempt to make home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde’s recent statement that the BJP and RSS were spreading ‘Hindu terrorism’ a major political issue, the BJP will organise nationwide protests on Thursday to condemn the statement as “divisive” and helpful to terrorists and their patrons in Pakistan.

The protests will also mark the beginning of Rajnath Singh’s second stint as party president. The BJP has been demanding Shinde’s sacking ever since he made the statement.

However, the Sangh hasn’t yet made a formal decision to take legal action against the minister, RSS national media cell convener Manmohan Vaidya told HT.
