Investigation into Kaumudi Chaturvedi's sensational murder case has revealed that her estranged husband Hemant Chaturvedi, who is a prime suspect, had reportedly taken Rs 50,000 as loan from his office in southwest Delhi's Naraina citing personal reasons.

Investigators believe that Hemant allegedly had planned everything related to the murder of his wife.
"We suspect that Hemant had planned everything meticulously and was working on it for at least three to four days before the murder. Using a newly-purchased lock on the door also indicates that the murder was planned. We believe the knife/dagger used to slit Kaumudi's throat was procured from the market," said a senior investigating officer, adding they are examining money transactions from Hemant's bank accounts.
Three days after the murder of 38-year-old teacher of Ryan International School, Rohini, teams of the outer Delhi police have still not been able to trace Hemant. He has been missing ever since Kaumudi was found hacked to death at her flat in Rohini Sector 23.
