Round 2 of Monsoon from today

After the first round of monsoon rain last week, the second burst of showers are all set to hit the Capital from Monday onwards.

After the first round of monsoon rain last week, the second burst of showers are all set to hit the Capital from Monday onwards.

According to the Met department, Monday will see a partly cloudy sky. Light rain and thundershower may occur in some areas of the city.

"This will remain till Saturday as we have similar forecasts for the next few days as well. However, from Tuesday the intensity of the rain might increase," a Met department official said, adding that the downpour won't be as harsh as last week.

On Sunday, the day began on a clear sunny note which became partly cloudy later in the afternoon in some areas of the city. The maximum temperature was recorded at 39.6 degree Celcius, which is two notches above normal and the minimum temperature was 29.8 degree Celcius, which is two degrees more than what it is for this time of the year.
