Q. AAP’s own internal Lokpal Admiral Ramdas has in his letter to the party pointed to “abject breakdown in communication and mutual trust” and said it needs to make efforts to address criticisms over inner-party democracy. Your reactions?

A. Whoever has leaked the letter has not done the right thing. Had these issues been raised within the party, we could have addressed them with honesty and in a healthy manner.

Q. The letter says there was a crisis situation just before Delhi polls over issues raised by AAP leader Prashant Bhushan who, the letter claims, threatened to resign if his concerns were not addressed.

A. I will not comment on the party’s internal matters. All I would say is those who have leaked the letter with vested interests are not AAP’s well-wishers. They have cheated lakhs of people who have pinned their hopes on AAP. This is not the way to bring out reforms in any organisation.

A. Differences of opinion are bound to happen in a democratic structure. The challenge is to use such differences to strengthen the party, not to ridicule it.

Q. It’s also being said the two leaders may be laid off.

A. No comments. It’s not proper for me to say anything.

Q. How do you think things will pan out in coming days?

A. Every family has issues... I’m confident everything will be fine soon. But make no mistake. The party is going to get those who are trying to weaken it through leaks and other means. We will take strict action.
