Sale of balloons less than two inches in size is banned in the capital for ten days from Sunday to check revellers planning to throw water-filled balloons at others during Holi.

The ban on the sale of rubber balloons of two inches or less in size when uninflated in size will be in effect for a period of ten days from March eight to March 17, a senior Delhi Police official said on Thursday.
This measure is taken to ensure that there is no indiscriminate throwing of coloured water and rubber balloons containing coloured water on people any person who does not want to be part of the festivity, the official said.
Delhi Police is also warning people against creating hustle or obstructing any passenger by violent movements, menacing gestures and frightening animals which may run amok creating panic.
Any person contravening the instructions are punishable under section 188 of CrPC (disobeying public orders), the official said.
Holi will be celebrated on March 10 and 11.
