"The party minister has been asked to resign", Congress general secretary Prithviraj Chavan told PTI tonight.

The development comes on the heels of alleged impersonation of his daughter in the entrance test of Acharaya Shri Chander College of Medical Science.

It was alleged that two youth, including a girl, were appearing in the examination for the kin of two politicians --Saroori and former minister Ram Pal of the National Conference, Congress' coalition partner in Jammu and Kashmir.

Seven alleged impersonators, including a girl, were apprehended in this connection on August 21.
