SC throws out Manu plea

The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a review petition filed by Manu Sharma, who is serving life imprisionment in the Jessica Lall murder case.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a review petition filed by Manu Sharma, who is serving life imprisionment in the Jessica Lall murder case. Sharma had sought a review of the SC judgment upholding his conviction and sentence for killing the model 11 years ago.

A bench headed by Justice P Sathasivam said: "There is no merit in the plea," while refusing to interfere with its April 19 judgement that had held Sharma's guilt was proved beyond reasonable doubt.
