Schools to introduce peace studies

The NCERT is all set to introduce peace Studies as one of the subjects for students of classes I to XII, reports Anuradha Mukherjee.

The NCERT is all set to introduce peace Studies as one of the subjects for students of classes I to XII. A new course has been designed for schoolteachers to train them on the subject.

"The duration of the course is six weeks and it is open to schoolteachers all over the country," said Bishnu Charan Patro, NCERT spokesman.

The course content has been developed by the NCERT and contains modules on Human Rights, Respect for Differences, Civic Responsibility, etc.
