Security for Abhishek Verma’s wife

A Delhi court on Friday directed the Tihar jail superintendent and the deputy commissioner of police (DCP) of the third battalion of the Delhi Armed Police to ensure the safety and security of businessman Abhishek Verma’s wife Anca Maria Neascu who are allegedly being threatened and harassed by undertrial prisoners.

Anca had moved a plea before Special CBI Judge Sanjeev Jain for a separate jail van for transportation from courts and jails.

Rejecting the plea, the court directed the jail authorities that Anca should not to be transported in the van along with Rashmi Sharma, wife of Hari Kishan Sharma who is a key accused in the Rs. 5.25 crore Defence Colony heist, and one Shivani as they had allegedly threatened her.
