Senior Delhi Government officials said they were not going to take any action against its officials on the basis of the Shunglu Committee report.

"Most of the alleged irregularities are technical in nature and require a technical body to look into them," a senior Delhi government official said.

"We want the technical examination wing of the Central Vigilance Commission to look into them. Other investigations can be handed over to the chief vigilance officer of the CPWD," the official added.

The Delhi Government has attacked the findings of the PMO-appointed Committee in the development of city infrastructure during the Games, ever since it was posted online.

Calling it a "product of paranoia", the Delhi Government had posted its rebuttal on the report within 24 hours and also constituted a three-member committee of senior IAS officers to examine each allegation made in the report and prepare a "para-wise rebuttal".

The PMO had handed over the report to the union home ministry for further action, earlier this month.
