Talwar family takes solace in numbers

There was, however, no decision on Monday. The Talwars arrived around 10.30am at the court premises with their three counsels, Dr Rajesh’s brother Dr Dinesh and cousin Ajay Chaddha, along with Dr Nupur’s parents.

Throughout the proceedings, the Talwars remained aloof from a large media presence. The family huddled together frequently for discussions in and out of the jam-packed courtroom on Monday. The court also issued notice to Dr Rajesh Talwar, who is also a first complainant in the murder case, to appear in court on Friday.

In the notice, the court asked him to present his view as why the case should not be closed. Briefing mediapersons after the court proceedings, Dr Rajesh said the family wanted the investigation to continue for “justice for Aarushi”.
