A teacher of a private school in the capital was arrested on Saturday for allegedly making a seven-year-old girl student strip as punishment for not doing homework.
Neha, 19, was arrested from Sun Shine Public School in Uttam Nagar area of west Delhi after the girl's father Gopal, who runs a catering business, reported the matter to police.
Gopal in his complaint told police that on Friday Neha asked his daughter, a nursery student, to stand on the class bench and forced her to strip in front of the entire class for not doing school homework.
The victim's parents came to know only on Saturday morning after she refused to go to school. She later narrated the incident to her parents.
"We have registered a case and the teacher has been arrested," said a police official.
