'Team Anna doesn't support Raj Thackeray's politics'

Anna Hazare might have been impressed by Raj Thackeray but his close associate Prashant Bhushan today said their group is not in agreement with the MNS chief's politics.

Anna Hazare might have been impressed by Raj Thackeray but his close associate Prashant Bhushan on Friday said their group is not in agreement with the MNS chief's politics.

"We do not support Raj Thackeray's ways (like his opposition to north Indians)," Bhushan told reporters here when pointed out that Hazare lauded Raj's initiatives like conducting examination for party candidates to contest the civic polls.

Another Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal said he was not aware of any such comments by Hazare and that he could not comment.

During his meeting in Mumbai to lobby Maharashtra Navnirman Sena support for a strong Lokayukta earlier in the day, Hazare lauded Raj's initiatives like conducting examination for party candidates to contest the civic body polls held in February.

"Raj has expressed his willingness to support a strong and effective Lokayukta in Maharashtra," Hazare said.
