What brought more tears into the eyes of the family members was the fact that Rajan had come to Delhi from Bangalore especially to attend the wedding of his best friend’s daughter.
“We were preparing for the engagement and were all set to leave for the groom’s house in Ghaziabad when the news about the death of my brother and his friend shocked us. They had gone for a morning walk and were supposed to bring the priest while returning home. We had never thought our family will face such a tragedy,” said Sultan’s elder brother, Nem Singh.
Sultan, who worked as an assistant vice-president with a private finance company is survived with his wife Savitri Singh and three daughters —Suraksha, Purmina and Bharti.
It was Rajan’s family members in Bangalore who were the first to receive a call about their death. They, in turn, informed Sultan’s family about the unfortunate accident. Rajan also worked for a private finance company in Bangalore and had earlier worked with Sultan in Delhi in the same company.
