According to the complainant, Manoj Kumar, he had visited the court to attend the hearing of a case. When he came out, he found his bag open and his wallet containing election card, three ATM cards, Rs 2,100 and other important documents were missing.

CCTV footages identified Jagdish and Deepak stealing the purse from Kumar’s bag. “A raid was conducted at the houses of both the accused and Jagdish was arrested,” said Chhaya Sharma, DCP (South). Deepak, who is involved in 12 cases, is still absconding. The police have recovered R1,000, two ATM cards and a metro card.
