The incident took place in the BSF camp in Chhawla locality in the capital around 5:30 pm last evening and the victims were identified as Head Constable Mahender Singh (55), Constable Narender Pratap (29) and sweeper Darshan Singh.
The sweeper accidentally fell into the sewer while he was cleaning it, police said, adding the two BSF personnel tried to rescue him.
However, police said, they slipped into the sewer while trying to rescue the sweeper. The bodies of the trio were later fished out from the sewer later.
Mahender hails from Punjab's Sangrur area while Pratap belongs to R K Puram in south-west Delhi. Darshan hails from Amritsar.
