Three Metro stations to close for a few hours today

Delhi Metro has announced that three Metro stations near Rajpath in Central Delhi will be closed for a few hours and services partially curtailed on two lines on the occasion of Beating Retreat on Sunday.

Delhi Metro has announced that three Metro stations near Rajpath in Central Delhi will be closed for a few hours and services partially curtailed on two lines on the occasion of Beating Retreat on Sunday.

On Line 2 (Jahangirpuri-Gurgaon) the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan stations will remain closed from 3pm to 6.30pm on Sunday.

However, interchange of passengers from Line 2 to Line 6 and vice versa will be allowed, a Metro spokesperson said, adding that on Line 6, Khan Market station will remain close for that duration.

This is part of the security arrangements for the Beating Retreat. These Metro stations either fall on the path of the Rajpath or close to it.
