A traffic police constable has allegedly challenged a Delhi University lady professor's right to drive. The incident was reported from the North Campus where thousands of female students drive and commute everyday.

According to the teacher, who did not want to be named, the police constable came running up to her when she changed lanes and started making gender insensitive comments.
"He told me that I, being a woman, had no right to drive and no one should have given me a driver's licence. The university is a gender sensitive place and there is no place for such comments there," the teacher added.
When confronted, the cop was not apologetic or remorseful, she added.
"The complaint will be looked into and strict action will be taken against the constable," said Satyendra Garg, Joint CP, Traffic.
