The United States today strongly condemned the suicide bomb attack outside the Indian Embassy compound in Kabul that killed at least 12 people and left 83 wounded, including three ITBP jawans.

"Our heart goes out to India, to the victims of terrorism and our prayers are with the people of India today," US Ambassador Timothy Roemer told reporters.
Terming the attack as "deeply troubling", Roemer also extended US support to India.
"I want to extend both to the Foreign Secretary and to the people of India the United States of America's support to India, its concern about this bombing which is deeply troubling and as we find out more details we will have more to say," he said after meeting Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao.
The powerful blast blew up the mission watch tower, destroyed vehicles and left a trail of death and destruction.
