Political Career: Singh got associated with the Congress during 1988 during his college days when he became the chief executive councillor of Delhi University Students Union. “I was given a ticket to contest the Assembly elections in 2003 and went on to win it. I was elected at a young age of 34,” said Sharma.

Family: Wife Anju is a homemaker. They have two daughters. Sharma loves to watch Bollywood movies. “Whenever I get time I watch a movie to unwind myself. I like Akshay Kumar the most and have not missed a single movie of his,” he added.
