‘Want an east campus for DU’

Concerned over the poor quality of higher and primary education in the Trans- Yamuna area, the newly formed East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) will soon demand an east campus of Delhi University and opening up of more colleges in its area.

Concerned over the poor quality of higher and primary education in the Trans- Yamuna area, the newly formed East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) will soon demand an east campus of Delhi University and opening up of more colleges in its area.

“Education is our first priority. To improve education quality in our area, more institutes need to be opened,” said Annapurna Mishra, EDMC mayor.

The demand for an east campus of Delhi University will be discussed at the upcoming house meeting. “Our kids have to go to north and south campus colleges. Those in our area are not up to the mark,” said a sitting east Delhi councillor.
