On Wednesday, 3,000 forms were sold which was the highest for the first day in the college's history. Thursday saw serpentine queues in the college corridors with teachers being forced to open more counters to answer questions.

But the process did not go on as smoothly as students had expected as the option of downloading the form was not available till Thursday evening. Many students were forced to come to the college in the heat and buy forms. "I kept waiting the whole day on Wednesday to download the forms but there was some problem with the site. My cousin who lives in Chandigarh was not able to apply and I have also bought a form for her," said Sumedha Chetan, who lives in Rohini.

The college authorities were able to rectify the problem only by Thursday evening. "There was a software glitch and the link to download forms could not become functional," said KM Matthew, tutor for admissions, St Stephen's College.
