A western disturbance is likely to affect North West India on March 23 and 24 and produce light to moderate precipitation in regions of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and northern districts of Punjab, Haryana and regions of Uttarakhand.

According to a release of the Regional Meteorological Centre, rainfall will peak on March 24 accompanied by thunder, squalls and hailstorms over Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh and union territory of Chandigarh.
Farmers of Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Hoshiyarpur, Kapurthala and Jalandhar districts of Punjab, Union territory of Chandigarh and Panchkula, Ambala, Yamuna Nagar districts of Haryana have been advised to take precautionary measures with inclement weather predicted during the harvesting season of Rabi crop.
As far as Delhi NCR is concerned, this disturbance will not have any significant impact. However, there may be development of cloudy conditions and a slight fall in day temperature on March 24.
