"I will file a written complaint against him for such a shameful and unparliamentary behaviour and demand action from the Special Privileges Committee," he told reporters when asked about the scuffle in the House on Wednesday.

"Some BSP MPs on the instructions of their leadership tried to misbehave with me, I just resisted it."

Karimpuri and Agrawal were involved in a scuffle in the House when the government was introducing a bill for reservation in promotion for SC/ST employees.

Agrawal, who recently quit BSP to join arch-rival Samajwadi Party, said Wednesday's developments in the House reminded him of the "dictatorship of BSP during their rule in UP and they want this to happen in Rajya Sabha also."

He also denied that he was trying to tear the copy of the bill during its introduction.

Agarwal said his party was not against promotion but opposed the bill as "this will lead to a caste war in the country."

He also accused the UPA government of trying to divert public attention from the coalgate scam.
